Training FP1, FP2 - AF3, AF4 as well as F3 & FC3
As a Neurofeedback therapist, I can certify that NeuroSky is
correct in stating that FP1-Feedback will not harm any other
Bio/Neuro feedback work you may be doing. Over the hundreds of
Brainmaps I have done (mine included) FP1, FP2, AF3, AF4, F7 &
F8 are frequently underactivated and need a "workout" every 2 - 3
days.
With the current headset, on some heads (like mine), I am able to
position the dry sensor higher , up to AF3, F3 & even FC3;
although to get proper contact at F3 & FC3 I needed to put a
small dollop of EEG paste on the tip of the sensor, after which the
location came alive on the Brainwave Visualizer.
BTW, Don't be surprised to see Neurosky come out with a way to work the FP2/AF4 sites (and therefore F4 and FC4 as well).
To show you what training F3 and FC3 with the MindSet looks
like, I made a number of snapshots from working each area.
You can see these pictures online at:
http://performanceenhancementgroup.org/neurologicalresearch/f3&...
Training F3 and FC3 required a different kind of focus/relaxation
than when I train FP1 & AF3.
I do feel more energized for having worked my brain for about 30
minutes.
Has anybody else tried this?
If so? What were your results?
Curiously,

Ron:
You should post this to the developer's forum as well (http://developer.neurosky.com/forum/)
Interesting stuff.

Dear Ron Fitch,
Yes, thank you for sharing those images. We have made this thread public for others to view, but the best place to have a full discussion with others in the user community would be at: http://developer.neurosky.com/forum/ as was previously suggested.
Best,
